wooden box trap

why can't I build the wooden box trap anymore? my character is level 8 and has always built them, suddenly they disappeared from the menu

If i recall well you need to find the appropriate hunter's magazine as well now. It is volume 3. This change was introduced about a year or more ago. (unless you have the Hunter trait or the Park Ranger occupation.)
Also there is no "character level 8" in ver 41, there is skill level;)
you need carpentry 1 and trapping 2 i think.
