Well a bite ain't an infection is it. You have to bandage a bite. Check the wiki.

When i check the wiki it says bitten means you are dead. Is that not true? Just to be clear i am trying to make it so you character can not turn in to zombie and end the game early.

"Bite" is a type of wound, if you have all infection settings off then you won't be infected with the Zombie virus. There is a difference between Zombie infection and normal wound infection though. If you have no infection enabled then a bite will still cause a bad wound and may show as "Infected" but you won't actually turn into a zombie. Just disinfect it and treat it properly.

I think the reason for there being no clear idea of whether your "Infection" is normal or means you're going to turn is to increase the tension over the few days after the scratch/bite as you will be sick/feverish but won't know for sure if you're going to turn until after a while has passed.

Got it. So as long as its set to never bit is just a wound. Thx.

There is a clear way to check: if your character gets stressed a few hours later, it's a fatal bite. You'll start getting nauseous and hot, too. Means it's a good time to go dig out the guns and ammo, strip naked and run the zombies around town.

Yes that's correct. If you have it set to default, bites are 100% infection and scratch is like 25% infection chance btw :) Also, the "Everyones' Infected" setting means that you can't become infected, but will still turn and wander after death by any other means.

Bite: 100%
Laceration: 25%
Scratch: 7%

if there is no tranmission just disinfect and bandage and ceek bandages clean it up and it will vanish after some time.

Even if infection is turned off, there's still a chance that infection will set in and a very slow death will occur. Yesterday I died a slow death even after the bite, laceration healed.

With a regular infection, not the zombie infection you can treat it with antibiotics, bed rest and food and water.

The only thing an infection (non-zombification virus in other words) does is slow down healing. If you died after getting an infection the death was caused by something else. As Mr. Dan makes no mention of having turned off virus spread it's reasonable to conclude he died from the zombification virus. Different thing entirely.

to turn off infection. literally just turn off infections in the sandbox settings. Hope this helps :)

Also being bitten in the case of turning infection off doesnt = infection it = injury.
