Also, in case of you wonder, reading prior books (under you level) doesn't matter. The game will also tell you it's useless if you try.
You can check the details by looking at your multiplier (value that increase as you read more pages) in your skill tab, by hovering skill bar/xp/ yellow square, or simply look ifyou have three [>>>] near the skill name. if you have no book xp bonus youwon't see the [>>>] or a multiplier value.
Because apparently the language changes from book to book XD.
Yes, I'm aware of what the Devs intend, But it's perfectly reasonable to read a book (book 5 in this context) and then later on when your ready for it, either get the benifit from what you read, or be able to read the book faster as you already know what it said and your just refreshing.
I'm pretty sure there is not any 1st grade math/science book in most countries, as that is when elementary school children learn to draw(eventually write) letters and numbers:)
But hey that is just me:D
