Sill Book Leveling
So lets say my carpentry is level 1. I know that reading a carpentry book 1 will increase my xp gain in the 1 -2 levels But lets say that at level 1 I read carpentry 5, a book for skill levels 9 - 10. Will I still get the XP bonus when I reach level 9 even though I read the book at level 1?

No, because you can't read book above your level

Ah, so I can only benefit from reading the books that boost my current skill level?

Yes. the game tell you you can't understand a book if you aren't skilled enough, and no progress (amount of pages read) can be done.
Also, in case of you wonder, reading prior books (under you level) doesn't matter. The game will also tell you it's useless if you try.
You can check the details by looking at your multiplier (value that increase as you read more pages) in your skill tab, by hovering skill bar/xp/ yellow square, or simply look ifyou have three [>>>] near the skill name. if you have no book xp bonus youwon't see the [>>>] or a multiplier value.

Because apparently the language changes from book to book XD.

Yes, I'm aware of what the Devs intend, But it's perfectly reasonable to read a book (book 5 in this context) and then later on when your ready for it, either get the benifit from what you read, or be able to read the book faster as you already know what it said and your just refreshing.

would be nice if you needed to read more of the book, but gain less boost from each read session

Are you saying a 1st grade math/science book looks and reads the same as college level?

I'm pretty sure there is not any 1st grade math/science book in most countries, as that is when elementary school children learn to draw(eventually write) letters and numbers:)
But hey that is just me:D

Would you be happier if I said 4th grade or what's your point? You still didn't counter my point.
