Best base in Rosewood?
After recent updates, there are far too many zombies in the rural house I used to live in. Is there any good bases in Rosewood that aren't to far from the town, but aren't swarmed with zombies? Thank you in advance :spiffo:

There are several.

The fire station and the construction site south of the fire station.

The small gated community west of town and, my personal favorite, the apartments above the shops in the middle of the town are close to town but pretty save provided you can lure the zeds away first.

I would go to the farm houses in the south, there are a couple of them between the firestation and the gas station. The gas station itself is also a good place but has more zombies. You also have a lake for fishing and water nearby.

Fire station
Bring sheets for all the upstairs windows and at least 1 plank for every downstairs so zombos dont randomly break in
Aa long as you deliberately survey your perimeter when you return, you are pretty much safe from too many zeds besieging you
The biggest threat (after the initial clearing of the perimeter when you get there) are zombies moving in from the western police station and court building
When those two are cleared, you basically are good except small roaming groups and ofc heli flummery

Looks like the population of Rosewood is upscaled a bit. I don't know which rural house you used to live, but just found out the rural houses west of the southern lake and gas station are quieter and safer than other places.

I'm a fan of the gated comunity at https://map.projectzomboid.com/#7994x11543x3829. I usually claim the house in the middle and build walls to divide the front yard from the backyard. Then, when reaching carpentry lvl. 7, I claim the whole community by building double doors on each end of the road.

I see. Have you tried the farm community just west of the bus station? I just moved there and population is much lower. But I did some diversion by using my car's horn when clear the gas station, so I'm not very sure about it.

That region is nice since it has a lot of open space, but also a bit dangerous since it has a lot of open space.

Unless you build outer walls far from the center of your base, you'll tend to get accosted by your nosy neighbors. Especially with respawn on.

These two just south of Rosewood in reach of both Rosewood and March, the houses here are nice because they have near full low fence coverage. The Farm across the road from here has Haystacks aswell to help make them impenetrable. The forage grounds would be nice aswell.

Haystacks can be found here

and here

Food Market here
https://map.projectzomboid.com/#9073x12187x11798
can be used to supply a worm farm if its rotten and already late game.

the reason this site picked because of the minimal amount of work needed to be done to secure the place.

Out of the two houses i would pick the one without the fenced garden.

I like to base at the gas station south of rosewood, since it has a lake nearby, but the drive in right next to it is probably a better base realistically since it's almost entirely walled off already. you do need to bring a bed and a stove, though.

I am pretty fond of the Rosewood church. There is not much in it but a lot of space, and you can use the church pews to board up the windows there. That will give you a lot of carpentry experience as well. I use it more like a storage house and set my spawn point in a double nearby at first. This way I can fall back if one gets taken down. I don't like the Firehouse because it can't be set as a spawn point and the High School has so much to guard in the beginning that you can't really keep track of it due to its size. Someone spawning into my main base on a dedicated server is not desired.

me personally I like the two rural houses because it its close but the only thing after you get rid of the zeds is dont use cars that are too loud because I made that mistake and the zeds were waiting for me outside my door

I see Rosewood as a stepping stone city. It doesn't really have an area that says END GAME base per say. A ton of good middy bases, for the middy that Rosewood is though.

Unless you count the Prison, that's almost an End Game base, if not, way out of the way.

Rosewood has been a joke stater town for a very long time. It has few industrial loot locations and few skill books and no VHS store and a higher zombie distribution than before. Riverside/Muldraw are so much better. Riverside especially with lots of industrial loot, all the skill books, tons of food and a bunch of cool locations along the river. There is even a chance you will spawn inside Mar-a-lago golf course :waytohell:

the fire station often has several axes and crowbars and it's a REALLY good base, there's a police station, tons of garages, two gas stations (one of which is right next to a lake as well as another really good base)

you can get established so quickly and easily in rosewood that the entire map essentially becomes your playground. who cares if rosewood doesn't have a VHS store when it has plenty of cars and muldraugh's VHS store is just a short drive away?
