Thoughts after playing on Steam Deck & PC at the same time.

So I am a new player and I have to say that the game plays great on Steam Deck. I think I actually like controller over M&K but probably because Steam Deck was my first experience with PZ.

Obviously there is no cloud saves and I am not here to complain about it. What this has done is force me to play two different games at the same time. One on PC and the other on Steam Deck.

Whenever I load up either game I find myself looking for the stuff my character did in the other game. It got me thinking that it would be a nice feature if you could play multiple characters in the same world.

For example have one character holed up in one end of the map and another in a different area or even different city. Obviously you would need to be able to switch between them in order to make sure they are okay while you are not playing them, but it could make things very interesting gameplay wise.

Anyone know of any mods that add this?

I do not know of any mods on this, but this would actually be a really cool feature!

No mods, but I guess you could do something like this by using a server and connecting from two different IPs (not sure how the server recognizes clients, I don't do MP )

I think you could play multi character on the same world, you just switch by selecting load then hit more on the saved game then hit new player. But you cant see your other character just the items.

Also I played both on Steamdeck and PC. I managed to sync my save using syncthing but it could take a while if you haven't sync them because when file size rather small but it has a lot of them.

if you would host a dedicated server on your PC or wherever, you could achieve this without any mod. Character saves would be stored on your server. You make a Character on your steamdeck: Name: XYZ.... password: whatever. and login from your PC with Name ZYX, password whatever..... It's not that hard to setup, you just need to open two ports on your router if you wish to join your server outside of your LAN.
