Muldraugh - Gated community southeast of town.

Where exactly is this?
Same place you pointed out.

I always build a gate on each entrances and wall off the path leading to the lake. It creates a big enclosure. Then I settled in the house smack dab in the middle of the community so the generator sound doesn't leak outside the community.

Rosewood - Fire station. Eventually the entire town.
Riverside - The school or gated community. Huge space both.
Muldraugh - Gated community southeast of town.
West Point - Apartment above Food Market
Fallas Lake - The gas station
Valley Station - The gas station/bar by the highway
??? - The houses across the hunting store https://map.projectzomboid.com/#3656x8550x1433

I'll eventually reach Louisville. Someday. And I plan to make multiple bases there using all the tall fenced gated communities.

in louisville, i usually base in the warehouse or near the middle of it for easy trees/looting

I have one Base location, where I am safe, can tend my wounds, farm etc. The base is super classic, probably the most popular one:
The farm to the west:
https://map.projectzomboid.com/?#8603x8821x3219

I have many "outposts" where I can settle temporary to loot nearby locations.

For outpost, I have the gas station near Fallas lake and others which have already been described by others. I'll just add two outpost locations in Lousiville:

I love the house with tree garages:

And the pawn shop which is well located and easy to defend: (especially after finding a sledge hammer)

Main base: The "Farm to the west". Has a well and bountiful trapping & foraging opportunities, not many zombies and is pretty much at the center of the map. Building a road through the forest doesn't take a long time and once it's done driving a car or seven there is a breeze. Antique oven in a shed nearby and another one a short drive away.

I also have at least one base per town and numerous safehouses especially in Louisville (At least 7 there), but halfway through writing I realized I'm not writing a novel here. One of the more interesting ones is probably the small farmhouse near my main base that sort of evolved into a stash for car parts and random junk. I'm definitely using a similar strategy in the future; why waste gas, trunk space and time hauling every spare tire or electric component to my main base when I can have a secondary storage for stuff I MIGHT need in the future. And it works, I've made numerous trips there to look for spare tools, parts or materials. I also take cars there to be dismantled.

Any building that's surrounded by pre-built metal fences or wooden walls from 3 sides will probably serve you well.

WEST POINT
1. Island TIp
https://map.projectzomboid.com/#12179x6616x2534

You are sorrounded on 2 sides of a triangle by water, with a nearby road.
Very few to no zombies Tons of Food
Easy access to Louseville and Westpoint

How long has your character survived before you start building a base here?

The only thing you need before you go there is either start as Fisherman so you can make fishing rods

Or you need to find fishing magazines and fishing equipment
You can make axe to cut trees through forging.

Because of the nearby warehouse in east side of west point under gas station you can get a lot of things to start off

Only issue might be helicopter event so having radio will be useful then

Relay station North-West of Muldraugh. https://map.projectzomboid.com/#10259x8732x1033
Plenty of space protected by an indestructible fence. Next to a clearing in the forest where you can place some traps. no need to cut the trees when you can get anywhere with a car using the main road, but i usually clear a path to north and west for a quick travel.
Also close to the cabin that has a well.

I have no idea which warehouse you were talking about, but the middle is the central park I guess? It looks like a good place for a base for sure, but I personally am not sure if staying in the open like that is a good idea.

Looking at the map, there are several spots that I wanted to wall off to basically make some big secure location.
Like this one: https://map.projectzomboid.com/#14126x2804x617
People are talking about how the gated mansions north of that place are one of the best base location in LV. But I imagine I'll be using that gated community instead when NPCs finally drop, making a large survivor colony and using the sturdy walls as defense.

There are also some neighborhoods with tall fences that look ideal to set up some sort of massive safe spots, especially for multiplayer game. Like these for example:

My current base is Spiffo’s in Riverside, right across the street from the police station. I’m turning it into and armored fortress.

Good basing locations?

Riverside has that massive school with that fence.
Rosewood doesn't really have a nice base area, but the area is low tier, so making middy houses here and there to hide out in from a horde is managable.
Murdawg. I used to like the Gated Community for that lake, but that lake sucks - it's too small. So now I like the bar on Southwest of Town.
Marchridge has a similar school to Riverside.
Never really did West Point but I fortified the bar next to the Gun Shop in the East.
Louiseville. They mentioned 1000 bases for this place, from unbreakable gates, to along the river. I settled for the 6 floor Penthouse in the Center of Town, North of the Central Hospital. Went there with 3 katanas and a sledgehammer and cleared the place out and knocked down the stairs. Sheet ropes everywhere, and another 6 floor penthouse down the street.

My favourite base is neither or the house with 3 garage doors nearby Louisville, or the house with five floors(also in Louisville)

Actually you can live on a small lake base collecting food so zombies won't be able to reach you. I made a video showing it:
