because some Ovens, cook at differnt rates. Some ovens i mean cook meal variety at the same rate. I mean. a Stew can cook at the same rate as a Fry. On some ovens. The shiny ones.
Display counter assuming you mean the ones at a butcher shop not sure.
You can find it by name here. "White Display Counter" is grocery store meat deli displays.
What indicates it is fridge-tier cooling (not to be confused with freezing-tier):
- The wiki page
- Food in it turns blue *
- When looking at the inventory of the object, it's labeled "Fridge" *
What indicates it's not cooling:
- Generator doesn't list it as a power consuming item. *
* Mods could be changing things, but that wiki page isn't mod based. I don't have mods that add furniture/appliances. A mod (maybe "Better Sorting" or "Alternative Inventory Rendering") MIGHT cause the fridge to color items blue based on temperature (i think this is a mod). Some other inventory mod MIGHT cause the inventory to be labeled fridge/freezer (i think this is vanilla though). I do have a mod that calculates remaining generator time that could be messing up the displayed info.
Fridges preserve at one speed, and freezers at another. I've seen nothing to indicate that different fridges preserve differently, and while it's fair to assume they preserve the same, I'm just trying to be fair in what i rule out as "possibility".
the blue highlight suggest to me that it's likely it once refrigerated (even if that never made it into a public release), and was accidentally left in the game,
IRL, these display shelves are typically chilled. By either typical chilling or by laying on a bed of ice. The later of which wouldn't use power, but would also be temporary.
