Project Zomboid

Project Zomboid

Cant cure sickness!
I have a lot of hours in this game, me and my friend are playing on an online server, my goal is to max out a character, so i really don't want to die as iv put a lot of time into this. (first mistake i know) We have a base set up in the military outpost going into Louisville, I got queasy, so i immediately ran to the third floor of the watch tower and sat down. there are no zombies withing the range of my view zoomed fully out. there is a broken window going into the watchtower but other then that i think im inside. I have been just sitting down and eating cooked fish for 12 hours and my character and all there cloths are clean, after 12 hours it did not get better and now im nauseous, id get lemon grass but at this point i dont even think that would help...

Honestly at this point its just not fun, i have looked up every possible guide there is to fixing this and followed them to a T. Could this be a glitch? Is anyone else experiencing this? I hope this feature gets fixed because its ruining the game for me, I love a game that tries to kill you but there is nothing i can do to stop this.

Have you any time in the last in game week received any scratches/lacerations/bites from a zombie? 'Cause it's most likely you got infected...and are going to be dead soon. There is no cure.

Don't confuse wound infections with the knox infection; Wound infections show as 'Infected' in the health panel, these just make it take longer to heal. The Knox infection however, when contracted, will not ever explicitly tell you that you have it- You just gradually get the symptoms and eventually die.

But other possibilities:
Are there any zombie corpses nearby? Can you hear buzzing flies? If so, you're suffering from corpse miasma- you need to get them away from your area; or vacate the area yourself. Being near too many corpses makes you ill.

What have you eaten recently? Any berries or mushrooms? You might've eaten a poisonous one. Any burnt food? That'll make you sick.

most likely youve been infected by a zombie.
there are mods that will allow you to survive via a cure or turning off infection in the settings.

Otherwise, it seems like youre done for.

There are some other options. 1 This is a cheese method but can be used if you fell you got screwed over. In library right click Zomboid type -debug in launch options then launch in list to left there is a godmode/heal cheat that will cure you, then relaunch game turn off debug mode as normal. 2. You can use this in your playthroughs https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2503622437

3. There are also somr cure mods for Knox infection here are two there are several

It's weird to me how someone could "put a lot of hours" into the game but not understand the zombie virus or broken mods. Or both for that matter.
