Farming and winter
I Will attempt to farm soon but im wondering can I make a second floor to my base with wood platforms and do farming up there? And will crop grow during winter? If not how can i have bait for trapping during winter

Also can i break the stairs after making my second floor and then access it from a window?

Thank you

Yes you can farm on roof tops, even wooden ones I believe. Take a sack, fill it with dirt, place dirt up there.

Yes you can farm during winter. Harvest, will however, yield less crops.

You can spear fishing if you have no bait, try foraging.

You can put down sheet ropes at windows and enter two floor buildings. Place the sheet ropes first before removed the stairs.

Winter also has no guarantee rain. Better offer trapping more dependable. Come spring make a huge farm for the worms.

Crops can grow. With default weather settings they will almost never freeze to death, but you may need to water them manually more often since rain is less common.
