Can we talk about the new town west of Riverside?
If you check the PZ community map https://map.projectzomboid.com/#2095x6166x181 you'll see a new town has been added along the river, just west of Riverside. It's obviously not finished, as there's missing assets and houses everywhere. I'd like to hear your theories on what it could be and what's happening there.

From taking a look at the map, here's what I've found so far:

-To the east side of the town, coming in from Riverside, there's a trailer park. Nothing too extraordinary.

-On the main road in from the east, though, the road has been damaged. Same thing with the road that comes in from the south (which doesn't lead to anything. Makes me wonder what they've got planned for over there. Fort Knox? Then again, that'd probably be near March Ridge)

-There's train tracks coming in from the south that stop abruptly. Probably just unfinished.

-There's a few small buildings near the east highway, near the damaged road. It's got a fence, which makes me wonder if the military's doing something here.

-There's a number of buildings on the south side of town, notably a Spiffo's, some kind of chicken restaurant, a gas station, some kind of office, a construction site, and a storage unit yard with a registration office. However, some of these buildings are badly damaged, with some of the walls cracked and the others replaced with wood all together. There's also debris everywhere. There's also a store in the middle of it all with barbed wire fences around the back. What intrigues me the most is the Spiffo's. If you zoom in with the map, you'll see someone's put up a wooden wall and door, like someone's living there.

-There's a mall, complete with a garage, a clothes store, a food court, and a Gigamart. It's got a second floor in some parts, too.

-There's some kind of school further north, near the center of town. There's a bunch of cots in the gym, which makes me think the military was using it as a refugee camp of some kind.

-There's a rather large church further north after that.

-After that, there's a ferry docked at the river. Multiple floors and all that. Looks like it would make a pretty dope base. Just don't expect to be able to drive it anytime soon.

-To the northwest part of town, there's some kind of gym/club with lots of cots in it too. Makes me wonder why the military would need two evacuation zones, in such close proximity to each other. Maybe they're not evacuation zones, but military staging grounds?

-There's a road that leads across the river, but it's "secured" by a fence and a guard tower. I wouldn't expect to ever be able to cross it, though.

-There's a lake towards the south end of town, so free fishing/water. But, you know, the river's right there.

That's all I could see so far. Just thought this place was interesting and wanted to hear what everyone thought about it. Can't wait to see what TIS does with it.

Well, if we base it on real life Kentucky map, it's probably Battletown or Brandenburg. Considering it's located near the bend on the Ohio river, it's probably the latter.

And I do hope it's true since looking at Google Maps, Brandenburg is a pretty big city. Not as big as Louisville but quite a big place to explore.

Have been there driving for about half an hour, think I saw a half done bridge over the river, north-west side of the new map zone. Funny trip when you have enough fuel.

Looks like a mechanics yard or fix it station for the region.

There isn’t much to talk about yet. Except I would speculate, Animal supplies, I think it is the missing middle class of riverside. They have an upper class, a lower class, but no middle so many it’s sort of like middle class residential. With a small maybe an interesting shop. Possibly a propane shop. Or some fix it station. Maybe more to happen at the spot. I like the map expansion in that direction.

Actually there is a car garage there and it has pits to get beneath the car. Which I can’t recall seeing those before
