Game runs for a small moment and then Black Screen
As the title suggests, every time i try to play the game; it launches, then after a few moments the screen cuts to black and Im not able to see the menu. I can still click on things, i know this because i can hear it happening while I click randomly. But the screen remains black. On a side note, it works fine on the Steam Deck...

This is maybe related to your graphic card. If you use AMD, you need to update the driver to the latest version that supports OpenGL

Try going to the C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid folder and edit the options.ini file.
In that file, edit the fullscreen=true line to fullscreen=false
Then try launching the game again.

in that case, can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share your console.txt file, found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
You can use any file-sharing website of your choice or a temporary one like filetransfer.io for example.

Tried alternative Launch to no avail. Here is a pastebin of my console log. I notice error messages at around line 1228 or so. And missing files at around 770.

Your issue is graphics related, likely the graphics card forcing unwanted settings on the game. In which case try resetting the control panel for the Nvidia card.

Right-click on your desktop and select Nvidia Control Panel.
Click Manage 3D Settings.
In the upper-right corner, click Restore Defaults.

Same errors? Can you share the log again? I would also recommend reinstalling your graphics card as well.

Hm, seems like there may be slightly different errors this time.
I meant mainly your graphics card DRIVERS, to make sure there is no issue with them.

I would also recommend doing a FULL reinstall, to make sure that the game has no missing files.

First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to "C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid" and delete everything there except the "Saves" folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.

Tried all of the above, even got the new driver update that was released today. No luck
