Are there any alternative light sources for after the power cuts?
I've searched the workshop and tried vanilla candles an embarrassing amount of times now, is there any other way to light up a room other than using a generator or battery powered lamps? I mean having a generator is great and all but sometimes I don't want to live in luxury like the whole world didn't die in the span of a few weeks. Is there any vanilla or modded alternative that I've missed?

yah more light sources would be awesome, i dont really like using generators much , would be cool to just have a candle lit area or oil lamp

Theres some mods that add glowsticks, and gas lanterns.

I guess hitting zombies with a lit torch would be a bit overpowered but I bet it would also be pretty fun.

Antique stove and fireplace can provide some light and heat, but that's all the extent of vanilla light source aside from generator and table lamp at the moment. That I know of at least.

If you are feeling brave, you can also use campfire indoors. Just be careful with it especially when the devs are overhauling fire mechanics.

You can modify standing lamps to run on batteries.

A cooking pot in the microwave also can make nice shiny dancing sparkles. Those could be a temporary light sources.

Well, I know you mentioned that you looked through the workshop, OP, but since you didn't actually mention or link any of the mods you might or might not have, I'll link a few here for anyone interested.
