I prefer Firearms B41. It adds enough variety that it doesn't feel overwhelming.
Vanilla Expanded is like Firearms B41, not really overpowered and adds some QoL.
Brita's has a gigantic amount of weapons, you'll find it somewhat difficult to find all the components you want at the same time. It can quickly become OP on default settings. On high population? It's almost necessary.
Feels very vanilla, adds enough new toys without just being unnecessarily bloated like Brita.
Brita's weapon pack is a huge bloat in my opinion which also kills the joy of finding weapons. The lowest spawn rates there (if you have the patience to tinker with it) feels way higher than zomboid's normal.
Not just for new player, everyone who doesn't want to turn this into cod zombies or a left 4 dead alike.
I would start with B41 or Vanilla Expanded, Brita is great and all but there are so many bullet types and guns that's hard to find enough adequate ammo for one you want to use, theorically you can get more ammo but the type will be way more dispersed, long term it's fun though and all that armor and ghuillie suits are a nice addition
