Because with the upstairs of places zombies below can hear you. But I think if you were in a sewar beneath the road for example they shouldn’t be able to hear you. Let’s say If your floor was less than 0 I don’t think it’s fair that you could move zombies around or confuse zombies above you. But this shouldn’t count for rooms with staircase or ladder
It might be ok initially, but presumably they might keep adding more underground features over time. I can see more demand for it at that point.
I'm imaging a page-turn feature at the bottom that quickly flips to reveal below ground levels.
The only other option I can think is giving the main map an additional rotating angle so you can see below ground easier?
3D map would be cool at least in regards to being able to toggle between levels, but it wouldn't make sense seeing as you're literally holding a piece of paper...but maybe they could have an immersive system where it tries to simulate your character swapping between different maps they have on them, I dunno.
I'll assume, if we even get maps at all, that they'll be like how maps used to be before the world map update, where you'll find like a "Riverside Underground" map on sewer working zombies or in cars belonging to them, rarely, and it'll just be some side map you can mark. Maybe even annotated maps too?
Well I mean, there are still maps like that in game today but I imagine nobody uses them anymore, other than quickly opening and closing it to reveal an area on your world map, rather than using it for navigation or marking stuff like people did before.
Ultimately i think the standard map should stay basically the same, but the ability to see maps of other places, especially underground schematics, would be cool.
However, I don't think the primary map should become some kind of supermap.... I like that it's basically the same as what you'd pick up at mini-mart, and that extra info comes from scribbles, personally.
