is there a mod or something that lets me push furniture over doors n stuff like that
or do i have to get the right tool to pick it up, do so and then replace it in front of the door?

You can use pick up button with the right tool, yes. Find a furniture you want to use, pick it up and place it in front of the door.

If you invite them to your base, yes. If you tell them to get off your damn lawn, no. Don't even need blockade or barricade.

I would love an option to shove furniture, oh yes indeed. Make loud noise, burn some stamina, take some time based on your Strength skill + object weight, but move a single furniture object 1 tile in a direction opposite the way you are facing, without needing Carpentry skill or picking something up and carrying it.

So many times have I wanted to just move something out of the way of a bookshelf, or push something in the way of a door but been unable to. It'd also be quite fun for blocking doorways with bookshelves and such as well.

Even a heavy bed isn't hard to push around if there's space to do it. I'm glad IRL I don't need to disassemble and reassemble my bed or couch every time I change the sheets or hoover under it, lol.

If you are worried that zombies might break into your base, you can try playing with sandbox mode and change the setting that determines if the zombies can break player-made construction or not.

That way you can make an invulnerable walls around your base and don't have to worry about break-ins until you are more confident with playing using the default setup.
