Speed demon makes car extremely loud?

It seems like every zombie on screen will start moving towards me the moment I try moving 10 feet ahead. It doesn't seem like driving at 10mph on cruise control makes a difference.

Seems like driving in reverse is even worse.

Check your engine and muffler for loudness and loudness multiplier, also what kind of car affects it- If you're driving a big honkin heavy duty truck it'll make more noise than a normal car will.

Using cruise control only matters if you're setting it at a speed that gets you speed but at a lower engine RPM. If 10 is a speed that puts you at 95% rpm without hitting that gear change, you need to go to 5 or 15.

Loud cars are actually a good tool for zombie control. So consider finding a sneaky car before modifying the nice loud one. I will always pick the loud vehicle over the quiet one. Because if there are zombies in the road ahead sometimes it’s good to shuffle them to open up some opportunities to slip through without damaging the hood.

Speed demon should not be too concerned with loudness just more about your dodging the zombies. Plus you should be fast enough to just coast, that’s move without acceleration.

I'm using a van with excellent engine and muffler quality, and doing a nomad playthrough meaning my car is pretty much my base and contains everything I own. If I try driving into town I get massive hordes attracted to me making it next to impossible without having to inch my way through killing everything little by little.

Speed demon actually consumes more fuel, and is allways louder than cars driven by non speed demons.

Speed demon should give +2 points instead of -1 and yes, it makes cars louder.

Speed demon is a trap trait.
You think it's positive, but tbh I can't see any positive in it.
GTA and NFS maniac new players fall in this trap many times. Seen it on public Mp servers. 🤣
