Side note: I would be very happy in this situation (without the zombies).
too long inside = depressed
guess what ? the simplest fix may be the right one.... equalize indoor and outdoor activities ... works for me read a book for once (unless u have the illiterate "perk") newspapers crosswords..... eat chocolate down a beer... it all adds up and u become a happy well informed drunk who likes to hike and work on the house.... with cholesterol and sugar issues... but who thinks of that xd
there are two perks who enhance indoor and outdoor pros/cons but both are mutually exclusive
https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Moodles#Unhappiness
Mods? What are your character traits?
Don't know where you got these information, and the 2 perks, but if not from a mod, it's totally false.
Being outdoors never raise your depression lvl.
Also indoors: first you get bored, and after a certain lvl of boredom, your char start get sadness.
For the 2 traits, I'm suspect you mean agoraphobia and claustrophobia. None of those has any "pros", and their con is getting panicked, not being depressed.
While panic instantly reduces your boredom, I wouldn't call it as a pros.
Now you mixing 3 moodlets: boredom, stress and sadness.
High boredom can trigger sadness, but none of them has anything to do with stress.
Smoker trait can (and do) accumulate stress, as the indicator of the need of a cig
Boredom can be gain from too much indoors (cabin fever?), or eating boring foods (6 portion of leek in a stew example).
Sadness can be gain from burned food, eating worms, etc. Or from high boredom level.
I'm already lost the rope which one is bugging you, but you should check those factors. And make clear which moodlet bothering you.
No. Impossible. 🤣 After thousands of game hrs, I'm still learning something new. 🤣
Never ever experienced this, only boredom triggered sadness on those blizzard days. Most of the times I'm run with smoker (free points). stress increase? Yes. I'm let it till agitated and smoke (spare cigs). Increase sadness? Never.
Try to go without ciggies for a week in game, while you have the smoker trait.
During my game session the first few days are extremely hard and harsh.
(str 0 endurance 0, carry capacity is 6, of which about 2.9 or 3.45 is already clothing and it is freezing cold:D)
Having to find cigarettes and thereafter lighters or matches is a real pain. (with my settings.)
Sometimes it takes 2 weeks to find the first lighter or matches, even if i already had found cigarettes. And by that time your stress is on a seriously huge level, which will trigger other moods:)
