Obese + Out of Shape
Roleplaying as myself in Project Zomboid lol. How hard would be to overcome those two combined? 1 fitness sounds nightmarish.

Multiplayer coop, repairman.
- Obese, High Thirst, Out of Shape, Slow Healer, Conspicous, Prone to Illness, Smoker
+ Thick Skinned, Handy, Keen Hearing, Falst Learner, Sewer, Dexterous, Cats Eyes.

Not the first one. Thinking it would easier with a friend ready to cover you. Just curious how long it will take me to get back into shape. Might be worth taking Feeble instead of Out of Shape?

Since you start out as repairman and handy, then spear gonna be your best friend. Since Spear don't care about your exhaustion and can always 1 hit kill, i'll stick with spear until reach 4 fitness at least.

Actually scrap that. I did some research and it would be very painful, long and annoying to get rid of obese and train fitness back to normal. Will go with these traits instead:

- High thirst, Slow Healer, Underweight, Conspicous, Prone to Illness, Smoker, Weak Stomach
+Handy, Fit, Fast Learner, Sewer, Dexterous, Cats Eyes.

Yeah, fitness is probably the hardest skill to level up. It will take your several ingame months just to get back to normal, years to get to level 10. Strength is much easier to level up, so I would take feeble over out of shape. Not taking either is generally a good choice, considering most character won't live long enough to build themself up again.

Your second set of traits is much more reasonable.

It would be easier to just get in shape in real life to make yourself better in-game, trying to create yourself in the game is an eye opener to your flaws and a good motivation to improve in all the aspects of your life

You could counter-act the fatigue build up by using knives and other stabby weapons of that size.

It was a joke.

For my first 3 playthroughs and beyond, I always take a trait setup like this
-Slow Healer, Extremely Underweight, Prone to Illness, Weak Stomach, Sunday Driver, Short Sighted, Cowardly, Weak, Pacifist, Thin-Skinned.

+Cat's Eyes, Cooking, Dextrous, Fast Learner&Reader, Light Eater and Low Thirst, Lucky, Organized, Outdoorsman, Sewer.

Some points may be negative because I'm just going off of memory. But my traits usually look something along those lines.

If the server has extended traits, or if I enable them in singleplayer. Then I usually add...

-Made of glass, (maybe) injured, (maybe) bad teeth, anemic, Fearful.

That is all I can remember. But those are the negatives I also add if it is enabled.

I am actually a player that plays with 0/0 str and endurance chars.
Though not obese but underweight, as with obese you were not able to sprint.
Usually it takes about 3 days to get my str up to 1, if i dont push it.
To get to level 5 it is about 4 months, and i have by that time level 3 in endurance.
However i do not do any excercise. Cuz i could get it up faster if i did:)

I agree with what you said. Personally I think underweight is much better than obese.

You should do some press-ups every day even if you start on level 5. Chances are you’ll find pain killers. There’s a good chance in most places for pain killers. And if you only do the one session of presses a day you have not much fatigue to deal with. It’s not a problems problems arise when you start to rush and chain sessions and do 3x intervals of press-ups until exhausted. Then you consume so much more pain killer. If can be sure you wont be effected by the fatigue say you had a gun and are good with it. And are carrying light, say you had a double holster m36 and 200 rounds in the bag. You can take the fatigue out with you if it’s only gonna disturb you max 1 hour 2 hours tops.

Yep not a bad tactic, just do not forget DO NOT DRINK alcohol (which can satisfy both hunger and thirst) while on painkillers.
(In certain runs my chars last meal before a sleep session was a bottle of wine:D)

this would be horrible for a mp session, you need to spend ALOT of time getting in shape and without fast forward that would be soul crushingly boring

I play the trait selection in MP.
Personally, I hate it.

I usually just make myself have more fitness but everything else remains the same (for mp).
Reason being it is just so much of a relief to actually run farther and such, even though I cannot really carry anything...

the ideal character for an mp session in my eyes is someone that has above average fitness and/or strength but still specializes in atleast one useful field, trying to be a jack of all trades would at worst make you relatively useless at best make you too good that your friends start feeling useless (it would take way too long to get to the latter though)
