Before my greatest ever run ended this morning, I found a satellite dish


Mounting it wouldn’t have made my TV work…

But it might do one day others have had threads before about extra tv channels or extra tv beyond week 1 maybe play a bunch of movies maybe we pick up a movie channel that loops uninteresting content on a schedule until it dies.

It would be funny if it actually did work, and brought in sponsored channels, say the top 10 under 3 min videos, based on what it finds for "Cooking" (for the cooking channel etc.)

It’s basically life and living but 1 hour ago. These type of channel quite popular.

Movie Channel -
I don’t know maybe it’s just total RNG. And this one just loops for weeks and weeke.

World News —
A couple of extended lore stories, about the outside world. And then it loops a prerecorded message. For a few weeks and disconnects.

It'd be cool if it gave you access to a channel that played all the movie/tv show tapes you find. Goes from Omega Force to Car Show and everything else all day.

It doesn't / wouldn't. Our current base is in the process of being decorated and there's like five satellite dishes placed all over the place, one on the balcony right outside of the home cinema room. TV still playing static forever.

Could be a neat thing though, especially to give the 98% useless Electrical skill some clout, letting you wire in antennas and satellite dishes to boost the signals of things, somehow.

I have also been messing with the dish to try to find out if it does anything (no luck yet).

I am not sure the meta-story of PZ & if the outbreak is limited to this area - or if its world wide.

Either way - it would be interesting to hear about the world reporting on Kentucky &/or hearing the story of it spreading.

According to the radio and TV updates, the outbreak starts in the event zone, quickly spreads to Louisville, then breaks containment completely to wreck the planet soon afterwards.

Honestly would love for locations like these to have a bit more functionality at some point beyond being just another base location.
