illness inside the house
Hello everyone, something strange happened to me and my friends in our game, we have a wooden house next to a lake and overnight (while we were sleeping) we all woke up sick and unbearably hot and we ended up dying, we don't know the cause, but when entering the house we always get hot, nauseated and then sickness and death, we don't know the cause of this, we try to open windows but we still get sick even more slowly, is there a system that causes a house to become infected, maybe smoke? or something contaminated? (It only happens inside the house, by staying outside we do not receive nausea and heat)

Maybe clean up any potential corpses and blood stains. As I am new to this game, I might be wrong in that those won't help, but it's worth a try. Maybe a corpse is stuffed in a cabinet somewhere?

I believe smoke can build up in houses, so it is likely the heat source causing you to get nausea and heat, opening windows doesn't help against this. If that's not the cause then I don't know what

Its either:
Overheating from too many clothes (Hyperthermia)
13 or more dead zombies inside your house (rot stink)
Active Generator indoors (Carbonoxide poisoning)

Other than that, maybe some mod?

I'm betting indoor generator. He said they went to sleep and died.

Not in current beta. Smoke from any fire source can't kill you. Only indoor gennies generate fumes.

I had a wooden house with two rooms, a closed room with a single exit to the other room, which is the kitchen, this kitchen had 2 doors, one to go out and the other to the lake, in the kitchen we had a stove, everything was fine for Good weather, but one day when we went into the room to sleep, we all woke up with dizziness and "something is wrong" after a while, all 4 of us got sick and died from the same thing, then we began to test, and the two who entered got "dizzy" " and "unpleasant heat" soon became ill and died, those who remained outside were calm without anything happening to them. it was always when entering the house.

(There are no corpses inside, we check that there is no rotten food, we take out wood stored inside, but continue)

is there a running generator inside of your house?

no, just a stove, we thought it might be the stove and we removed it, but it's still there

where is the house? is it already there, or did you build it?

What a fascinating mystery.

So, how much do you trust your friends? It's possible someone is poisoning your food. Did you all eat the same things? If so, who gave them to you? It's not possible to poison food that isn't in a recipe, so if you're all eating veggies or canned food you can rule that out.

Someone could've hidden a generator somewhere attached to the building and have it still considered 'inside.' Do you hear any generator noise?

And finally, modded or vanilla? Mod interactions can cause weird glitches sometimes. Never heard of anything quite like this, but if I think of any other probabilities I'll mention them.

Without mods or corpses everywhere, pretty sure the only thing in the base game that poisons a WHOLE house is CO poisoning from an indoor generator.

Either that or you're haunted. Check for ghosts OP.
was your stove a propane grill? those shouldn't be used indoors either

Nobody poisons the food, it's just when we enter the house and spend time there, we don't have a generator, it's a great mystery that I would also like to solve

It was an old kitchen, now that I think about it, we always used firewood, but one day a friend used gasoline, that generates co?
