I believe smoke can build up in houses, so it is likely the heat source causing you to get nausea and heat, opening windows doesn't help against this. If that's not the cause then I don't know what
Overheating from too many clothes (Hyperthermia)
13 or more dead zombies inside your house (rot stink)
Active Generator indoors (Carbonoxide poisoning)
Other than that, maybe some mod?
I'm betting indoor generator. He said they went to sleep and died.
(There are no corpses inside, we check that there is no rotten food, we take out wood stored inside, but continue)
What a fascinating mystery.
So, how much do you trust your friends? It's possible someone is poisoning your food. Did you all eat the same things? If so, who gave them to you? It's not possible to poison food that isn't in a recipe, so if you're all eating veggies or canned food you can rule that out.
Someone could've hidden a generator somewhere attached to the building and have it still considered 'inside.' Do you hear any generator noise?
And finally, modded or vanilla? Mod interactions can cause weird glitches sometimes. Never heard of anything quite like this, but if I think of any other probabilities I'll mention them.
Either that or you're haunted. Check for ghosts OP.
Nobody poisons the food, it's just when we enter the house and spend time there, we don't have a generator, it's a great mystery that I would also like to solve
