Modded Maps not loading into new server
Hi, So I've been trying to solve this problem all day. The mods i'm trying to play are Raven Creek, Bedford Falls and Chinatown.

I know those mods shouldn't have a crossing problem since they don't overlap each other. So the mods work perfectly in solo, but when I try on MP it just seems to take a dump on itself. I opened another server to test if other mods we're interrupting with the process but that wasn't the issue. so when booting the server the problem first arises as the spawn points for the mods dont show, and when i go into game the mods are completely not there. I turned off the chinatown mod because it wasn't letting the server boot properly, so im stuck here now with Bedford Falls and Raven Creek not working properly as not making the building/texture in game, nor is it in the map while in game. I've already tried, deleting the mods and redownloading them, restarting the game multiple times, the priorities have been set so the map mods are loaded first and spawn points in the settings are there. only issue is when I start the server which is brand new, it doesn't seem to recognize that those map mods exist. I've noticed an issue in the past when you delete a server and make a new one with the same name it'll find the saved/back up data for that previous old server onto the new one with new settings, so I've already changed the name to a unique one too.

I just feel stumped and I would like some help if possible.




thanks for reading this super long post and also thanks to one of the devs for helping me fix the server normal termination Issue the other day, It seems like some mods are incompatible with the current build or something like that.

TL;DR mod maps not working in MP, but works in solo.

Didn't consider that I personally would be banned, it just says the certificate is invalid, so I assumed their certificate just ran out, but me being banned for constantly using it sounds funnier.

Seems like the settings are pretty much perfectly set up. But the server shows these errors:

WARN : Mod , 1673195210128> 57,832,008> ZomboidFileSystem.loadModAndRequired> required mod "BedfordFalls" not found
WARN : Mod , 1673195210128> 57,832,008> ZomboidFileSystem.loadModAndRequired> required mod "RavenCreek" not found

Meaning something must have caused the mods to not properly load.
Try going to "SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and delete the "steamapps" folder located there, then host the server again on a new map, this should redownload the mods for the server and might have them load properly.

When you're in the server settings go to MAP and make sure Muldraugh KY is at the bottom of that list.

Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
You can use any file-sharing website of your choice or a temporary one like tmpsend.com for example.

Seems like I cannot load tmpsend anymore, can you try using filetransfer.io instead?

QUESTION! After deleting the steamapps and hosting and re-download again the mods to the server, will it delete the progress (e.g. modded items, cars, etc.) of our game from the server or everything will stay as is?

It would not, as that folder only stores the server mods. Meaning deleting it only affects the mod issue. The saves are in a different location (items, vehicles and so on)
Just make sure to keep the mods enabled.

I deleted the steamapps and loaded the game again the modded maps worked in SP, however it still doesn't load into my MP server and it still says mod not found in the logs along with the tiles. I already did bunch of troubleshooting from various guides such as reordering the mod load order and putting the modded maps over the muldraugh to no avail. Is there anyway to fix this? Thank you.

TL;DR mod maps not working in MP, but works in solo.

So, I had to do this last week for Raven Creek and St. Paulo's hammer, and Snake's Mod map files. I will try to step you through it all.

In your configuration files for the server, you need servertest.ini for this first part. I don't know who you're hosted through, but they should have it easily accessible to you.

Servertest.ini needs 3 things:

1) Mod Id's for the maps (preferrably at the start of your mod list or directly after any dependency mods such as Tsar's stuff or any other framework type mod).
2) Map listing
3) Mod Names

For 1, find Workshop Items, and you want it to look like this for Raven Creek:
WorkshopItems=2196102849

For 2, it needs to look like this (note, you must always put Muldraugh, KY last in the list):
Map=RavenCreek;Muldraugh, KY

For 3, You need to match up the mod name so it shows correctly in your Mod List:
Mods=RavenCreek

Always remember to use a semi-colon ; between mod id's, names, etc. But is not necessary for last mod in the list.

Save and exit that file, then you want to open servertest_spawnregions.lua. In this file, you can add your spawn regions to be added, so you're not just limited to the original 4 areas. Under those 4, you can add the following line for Raven Creek:

{ name = "RavenCreek", file = "media/maps/RavenCreek/spawnpoints.lua" },

You just need that for any map that you want a spawn point for that has their own spawnpoints.lua file.

Also be sure that the files are actually loaded on your server. To do so, if they have any sort of File Manager, head to steamapps/workshop/content/108600

All mods you have installed are loaded in there, and can be found via their modID. Always pays to make sure. When I first set up my server through my host, they put me somewhere that was not allowing my mods as it was out of space. So double check to ensure the files are in there.

Last step, do a world wipe and restart your server. Then log in and check to see if your location is there. If you're new to dedi hosting a game, I recommend doing this one at a time for each new map you want to add, until you get the hang of it.

Do you have a screenshot of the exact error you get?

Do you have a screenshot of the exact error you get?

I can't seem to send screenshot images but I'll paste here the errors.

I created another MP server and the maps worked there. Though they said these map mods works fine even on existing saves, but if there's really nothing to do to fix these errors on my current server then I'll probably stick to the new one I created even though it would kinda sucks since I have to start from scratch again and dump my progress from the previous server.
