2: It will damage yes just like if you ran into any other object in real life. Depending on the amount of zeds they will bog the vehicle down completely. Think about all of those bodies of varying sizes and health in one spot. You would need a larger vehicle to plow through. That in mind, once your hood is destroyed it makes it easier for your engine to take damage so be mindful of that. That said, never take Sunday Driver. Your car will be a absolute turtle at that point with no power and it will be next to impossible to haul trailers. On the flip-side if you take Speed Demon you will get more power that way. So you can really haul things and go off-road. Just becareful of zombies ofcourse.
3: No, that's mods only for now.
Yes- Crashing into zombies damages the vehicle. The hood will take damage first, when the hood eventually breaks the damage goes to the engine next (assuming forward travel)
Not that I know of, and not that I know of- Speed demon is the only option here, but it's a pretty awful trait overall just for more travel speed.
Because it's not NASCAR season...iuno, really. If there were a zombie outbreak and I were a nascar driver id've taken my nascar car to the border ASAP.
I doubt this will happen in vanilla- Having a base that travels with you is kinda anti to the overall design of the game, Even if it's fitting of the time/genre.
Oh and motorcycles... Why not?
So you can replace parts on a Standard vehicle with a part from any other Standard vehicle.
Similarly, sports cars require you to swap Sports parts, and Heavy-Duty vehicles require you to swap Heavy Duty parts. There's also 3 levels of quality for some parts.
So to use tires as an example, you'll have something like the following:
Standard
Sport
Heavy Duty
Valu-tire
Regular Tire
Performance Tire
From which you'd get a name like 'Standard Valu-Tire" or 'Heavy-Duty Performance Tire", indicating what kind of vehicle it goes to and it's quality.
So,
Standard/Sport/Heavy Duty
Front Windshield
Front Window
Rear Window
Rear Windshield
etc.
So "Front Window Type Heavy-Duty", "Windshield type Standard", etc.
