Metalwork furniture crafting ruined
Due to the recent update for the propane torch, it is now impossible to build metal structures or furniture due to teh fact that the requirement for how much propane needed to make them is now impossible to obtain. For metal stairs, it requires 20 units of propane to build them. No matter if I have 4 propane torches on me, I cannot craft them. I do not have any building mods that are installed nor do I want to grind carpentry since it's much lower than my metalworking.

Is this truly an issue with the devs putting out an update without thoroughly updating everything around it? Does anyone else have this problem?

i had a propane tank in my inventory while trying to craft the metal stairs. It does not matter if it's in my inventory or on the ground, the game does not recognize that I have an ample amount of propane within my inventory.

Wait, there's a craftable metal staircase in vanilla now?

You're not understanding what I am saying.

The new unit of measurement for the propane torch is a total unit of 10. There is furniture, like the metal counters in the metalwork tab, that are requiring more than what the total amount of a torch has in capacity. I do not have any building mods in my game.

There is a temporary fix for this in the workshop called propane fix i dont know what the devs are thinking about this though

I saw that one a few days ago, I don't particularly want to do it but at this point I really have no choice because I worked hard to get my metalworking up this far and don't want to divert to wooden stairs because this build is a welder.

I like the idea overall but from what it looks like, the metalworking right now is not completely fixed. At least, it doesn't seem possible for me.

No worries mate... Im just frustrated because I can't find any real answer on this. It just sucks. Sorry if I seemed aggressive.

I don't have any building mods in my game. I have thought about adding them but not right now. But yes, it looks as though not only stairs are affected by the improper calculations, but some of the metal counters in the right click metalwork tab are impossible to make due to the number of usable propane units.

I've encountered the same problem, plus you now need a complete torch to disassemble a burned-out wreck.
With this mod you can set it back to the values it had before the patch. Works in sp as well as in mp.

Well that's frustrating... Can you still craft other items? I was trying to level my metalworking recently since I haven't tried the furniture before, despite having levelled it many times before.

I had thought you needed a magazine to craft certain metal items then realized my mistake when I found out that apparently it was part of the baseline metalworking, no magazine required.

It was humiliating, but I think I saw someone else going through the same shortly after I wondered about it, I was just glad there was no one to make fun of me for it or throw it in my face in front of others to make me look or feel bad.

I think the metal items in general don't look good so I don't use them. I want the kitchen cabinet for the color because it matches my layout.
