There could be a small tree, or trash on the floor? You can remove trash the same way you move furniture. Maybe check the area for anything you can move or pick up?
But. Iirc (I'm rarely build bases novadays) you can drop half of the necessary planks on one end of the gate, and carry the other half to the another end of the gate.
Now try.
Another thing comes to my mind double gate tooltip was wrong (back in b39-b40), and you needed more planks, than tooltip told. Duno if this was fixed in B41 (didn't built double gates in current beta).
Again: my memories comes from b39-b40, they are already faded and dusty. But. Worth a try, hope it's helps you. But, if this dont help, try ... ... (3 dots 2 times. 😝)
