Where's that video store at?

TVs can actually still be useful in the apocalypse, who knew?

Certain cassette tapes that teach skills are out there somewhere. Now that I've gotten a good handle on avoiding fatal bites and scratches, I'm on a quest to find them. Yes, of all things to look for in the apocalypse, I'm scouring for video tapes.

So, any small town have a dedicated video store? They aren't exactly advertised on my map.
I'm sure Louisville's got a treasure trove somewhere, but first I'd like to scout out some more accessible spots before making that deep dive.

Where is your general location?
I found 2 Video stores
One in the South East in a small Town with Apartments in the neighbourhood and a large movie Theatre. When you first enter the neighbourhood there is a Toll Booth/Gates you will pass. There is plenty of goodies and Z in that area
The other video store is East in along the main strip of town of Riverside, I remember exploring this town before and there was no video stores around other than in Louisville, so they must have added that to the map recently

Ok, so there is one on the left side of Muldraugh on the Main street

If you are still in the first week of the apocalypse and you have a wrist watch and a TV you can tune in to Life and Living Channel and watch skill raising shows at 6 am 12 am and 6 pm Or if you do not have a wrist watch stay close to TV and have it on steady with volume up full

There are 6 video stores in the base game. Some gas station/stores will have a rack or two of videos as well. Many homes will also have misc videos. Volume control only needs to be 4 or higher if zombies are nearby and your trying to be quite.

Is there any metalworking VHS?
I find raising XP is just as fast if not faster exercising the skills versus searching for the ideal VHS/Book
In fact, I hate that I find a good book(s) on a subject and cannot read them because the book is too advanced so the only way to get better at that skill is to exercise the skill, then later the book that was too advanced is obsolete...? Kinda screwy

Well, there are 2 - Home VHS - nof / Home VHS - no 9
Both are Home VHS tapes and will be found randomly in all homes. Not video stores.

Every base I have made has a container or 2 with every skill book and every skill magazine that I find. I burn the doubles of any I bring back to base for fuel. That way when I die and I always do eventually, I can take my new toon back to my old base and have all the skill books ready for me. Same goes for video tapes.

Is there any use for Desktop computers?
I found one and it was the first one I have ever seen in game. I took it but cant remember where I left it, but it just occurred to me I did find one. Remember it is the 90's

A bit of decoration for your base, thats about it, as far as I know.

Too bad it did not have useful information/skills info or If NPC's were a thing you could maybe have internet conversations with NPC survivors or hack into some location to power up or open/unlock locations. Cool to temporarily bring power back on to city by hacking Hydro stations or something like that.
