The scratch to the neck obviously didn't heal if you became infected.

Did you also shut off infection in sandbox?
Did you change the day until infection settings?

These settings can vary how zombie infection works for you.

Unless you messed with the sandbox settings, you WERE in fact wounded by zombie and got infection due to scratch.

it can heal, and the zombie infection "shows" up when the invisible timer counts down.

Just to clarify something, There are two kinds of infection.

Wound Infection, which appears on your health panel when you have a wound and don't tend to it properly..

And the Knox Infection. The game never outright tells you that you have the knox infection; You'll only find out by the symptoms progressing.

Also to note, Wounds can fully heal and still have given you the knox infection.

With that said, I have a question for you first: What is your 'Infection Mortality' setting set to? Is it a duration of 7 days or longer? If so, that scratch you got 7 days ago likely gave you the knox infection.

1) i do not change the infection in sandbox
2) the scratch in the neck isnt there anymore, heals 7 days ago.
3) i have all my body parts 99%hp = no part damaged by infection

no, the infection cant show after u heal the wound...

zombie infection has no moodle. you absolutely got zombie infected, healed up the scratch before your zombie fever set in.

when u get infected from scratch/laceration , the wound wont heal if u get "zombie infection" ... if the wound heal, then u arent infected. simple as that...
its imposible to the wound to heal if ure infected from that wound...

1500hs ingame playing all sort of sandbox settings. try it, put "NO INFECTION" on sandbox settings and ull see the bites didnt heal at all (cause they are in fact, infected, but u didnt get the moodle) .

x16 pop , no mods, just raven creek . No changes on infection setings, just change the loot to extremely rare and the gas stations to empty.

bite = bitten?

Bitten = dead.

Unless you did change the settings, but you said earlier you did not change any settings.

I'm maybe not understanding you.

I'm not sure that is correct information on default setttings.

Yes, I will wait to see if an official developer word lands here or many other players put it claims for or against the argument.

Perhaps you are right, and my 2300 hours on steam and 2100 hours on GOG with hundreds of games played are just misinformation.
