Honestly you can't do wrong with campfires if you need a non-electrical outdoor light sources (and indoors too if you are careful).
Yeah, but that is not really what I am looking for. It still needs electricity of some sort. I am looking for a true survival style way of getting light into my place.
Your building burning down and you set yourself on fire. You need to place the campfire at the center of 3x3 non burnable tiles like sand/gravel/ceramic tiles.
But I do wish I could place lit candles around my base at night. Currently they don't have much use
Duh... Those aren't placeable.
Yeah, they do. But in every run I came across maybe ten or so and they aren't craftable. I want to build a big place and having to scavenge the whole map just to light the place is a bit off, isn't it?
The code part is easy. The graphics/sprites of the object is what keeps me off doing it myself.
