It would be pretty hard to sleep if you got shot
And painkillers don't work instantly
That's the issue, it's TOO realistic to the point is not even fun to play. It has so many unnecessary mechanics. If i have pain or panic it takes 100 years to kill one single zombie
Bandages get dirty very quickly if the wound is still bleeding. This should cease after a day.
If "your heart is shaking" (I guess you mean that you are losing health and the heat on the left side is shaking) it means you are experiencing condition loss. This is either due to overencumbrance or being sick (Flu or the zombie virus). Dirty bandages on wounds do not cause condition loss, but rather increase the chance of wound infection.
That's the game, friend. If you don't like it you don't like the game, and that's fine. Not everything is for everyone.
The moodle is your friend. It warns you of your environment and character condition. Seeing a moodle pop up lets you easily (after you learn what they mean) rectify your situation and allow you to live longer (once you learn how to deal with each of the moodles)
They are wonderful indicators of when to go home, when to back off from confrontation.
I guess they could have chosen a cartoon pop up thought bubble instead.
A little cloud with text... doot doot doot, "My, I'm feeling sleepy."
PS: there is no pooping in the game. That moodle would be useless.
There IS a cold moodle, which shows you that you have a cold, and that is a warning: you better deal with your cold or you might die.
Moodles are good. Silly name, but i can live with that.
Thank you, people complaining about the dirty bandage thing is a pain. Some wounds are deep and require sutures, they will continue to bleed and get "dirty" very often if you don't stitch up first.
Its a zombie apocalypse, you are going to be stressed out and paranoid unless you take things easy and at a slow pace.
Also remember, this isn't some linear game where as long as you make the right dialogue choices everything will be fine. This is the end times and you are likely not going to make it. Not everyone gets to be Darryl.
i thought i was playing a zombie survival game? yes u are hints why you need sleep have pain and other survival moodlets
i can't sleep cause of pain? apparently someone has never tried to sleep with a tooth infection
i took multiple painkillers yet nothing happens? you think pills work like an iv into your vain they take time to kick in and only takes one pain pill to make pain go away for about 4 hours
Bandages gets dirty instantly after you cleaned them and put it on? yes cause you probably haven't washed your cloths and have dirty skin that keeps making them dirty..... what do u not shower in real life and put on new cloths and be like why my new cloths dirty?
Sometimes my heart still shakes and my health drops even if all bandages are clean????
yea bandages arent from star treck and insta heal the wound under the bandage clean bandages only stop infection...... witch will still happen to you cause your a dirty bum
i love coming here for worlds dumbest complaints if its not this guy its some guy complaining that his mods broke the game thanks devs why dont you fix your game to work with my mods im tired of the bugs that my mods cause and you should go through workshop and fix all my mods get to work grey!
-> is mad that the game is realistic
the game isnt wrong, you bought the wrong game, learn that games are not made to be perfect for you and only you.
FULL MOD SUPPORT - as one of the first decisions the devs made at the drawing board. Right from the get go, this game can be whatever you want if you take the time to mod it.
OP can make a mod that changes all the moodlet icons into just an invisible alpha channels. Game no longer feeds you visible moodlet information. Problem solved.
............
Pain and killing one zombie in 100 years... the moodlet is there to let you know, "Hey man, I am fighting with a nerf because of pain, maybe I should back off and go heal up."
Is my hand cut? push it over and stomp on it. Are there more than two or three zombie on me while in pain with that hand cut? time to abort the attack and beat feet to safety.
or
My moodlet is telling me I am in a panic, this means I am less effective. Back off, or take a beta blocker. Deal with the information given.
Live to fight another day, or stubbornly ignore the games way of telling you that you might die if you keep on this road.
Perhaps you (op) just need to rethink your tactics in how you attack this game. It isn't always full blast kill kill kill. It is planning, survey the situation and learn to deal with things as the plan changes. sometimes in a moment things go sideways. Moodlets HELP you decide fight or flight.
This game must have the record for being in "early access" state the longest. It's been 10 years hasn't it?
As soon as you start to feel like certain mechanics are working smoothly and reliably, they get "fixed" and the cycle repeats. Seems like an unspoken Meta feature that you will not be able to rely on anything in this game. Even launching the game, it might not happen, and that's just the game. If you don't enjoy those aspects, then you don't like the game.
Of course if you want to play a casual, arcade zombie games, there are tons out there. 7 days to die, left4dead, minecraft, etc...
Do you know that build 41 is now very near complete if not totally done? within a few weeks people will be saying "the devs are abandoning the game. where's the updates?"
build 42 is a long way off....you may soon play build 41 for a long time without dev code changing things every week. This development cycle is finalized and pushed to stable.
Give it a few weeks for any final patches or fixes, then play for months and months and possibly years before any build 42 drops.
