In game maps and GPS?

Has anyone heard anything about maps or GPS units getting added to the game at any point?

There will be no mini maps ingame, but maybe some local maps and given the fact that the game is located in the year 1993 and GPS started 1995 i highly doubt we will see GPS ingame.

yeah that's what I was talking about with the map. Not a mini but a paper map that you can make notes on. As for the GPS, I'd have to look, I'm sure GPS was around but it's was very simple, not like the navagation units we have today.

Yeah it was around before 1993, declared fully operational in 95, lol i was curious myself #google XD

Ingame map(s) would make sense, cant imagine someone from the town not knowing where the school, mall or policestation are.

Coulp be hand drawn map(s) too, made by the character, with annotations.

As everyone uses the unofficial map anyway, making ingame maps are probably not a high priority.

And, after a while, you , as a player, know the map anyway.
