Oh, if that's the case then I apologize for my misunderstanding. Carry on good sirs:)
I havent done it for PZ (no need), but there is no reason it shouldnt work.
Steam shrotcut directs to PZ32, if you rename PZ64 into PZ32, it wont bother and launch it.
Now, after every patch or a steam integrity verification, you would have to redo the thing.
So, this solution is just a workaround, just launch the game directly from steam and dont bother ;D
What works is adding a non steam game to library (here PZ64) and asking steam to create a shortcut.
I ran it from the projectzomboid64.exe and it decided to work again so I am glad.
It must have been an error with steam thinking it was not running.
Steam now runs pz64.exe(whatever the full name) automatically on my system, so I guess the problem was already fixed.
