Generators and Cars

Is there a way to put a generator in the trunk of my car? I can't seem to transfer it over the normal way for some reason.

I had trouble with tis too. If you get in the car with the generator in your hands you can move it to one of the car seats thats how i move them.

also the generator will weigh 40 so youll need that free space too

You can store them on the seat's of a car or the back of a van, you cannot store them in the trunk of a car, they are too heavy.
They weigh 40 units, and cars can only hold 35 units.

Depends on the car, there are some that can hold over 50 units, I think.

The seats ive seen in bunch of diff cars/trucks/vans only hold 26 units. How would you put generator in one? Trunk or pickup bed or back of van i could see holding one though if was a way.

Even though seats dont have enouth space you can store generators on them, i think its a bug.

Oh ok! gotcha now, imma have to use that next time i find a generator. Found couple but left them as was too heavy to walk around with.

Maybe it has a invisible amount the game let you put in extra but only for a heavy object,something like that.

some truck have a maximun of 85 so it depend of the car

no clue if it because of it, if I had more than 26 units in all of my car seats, my char says there is place to sit or something like it, if only one is free and you accidentally want to sit in a full one, the char will move the stuff to the empty seat.

I ended up just putting all my junk in the trunk (lol) and carseats and carrying the generator while I drove. I'm guessing that's what I'll have to do when they figure out the seat/generator weight bug lol.

And fwiw, that car (the station wagon) holds 42 units in the trunk.
