Zombie Scratch Disinfection
A bite is 100% lethal. So:

1. After getting scratched by a zombie, does the game instantaneously make the percentage based dice roll to turn you into a zombie?
2. If not, does disinfecting a zombie scratch lead to a lower percentage chance of turning into a zombie from that scratch?

I'm trying to determine if the zombie virus/bacterioid is immune to disinfecting.

As far as I know, it's an immediate dice roll as to whether or not you get the zombie virus. And no, "infected" is not the same thing. There are regular infections and there is the zombie virus. If you get cut for any reason, you had better disinfect the wound or you can get a regular infection and die, just like in real life. There is no way to stop or lower your chances of getting the zombie virus from a scratch or bite.

only lived for couple days max so far. But got scratched couple times and had it say infected... I disinfected it. And after bit said i was fully healed "took long time though". And survivor on that play through is still alive.

I believe you. There is actually a way to get less scratches and bites though. Thick Skinned. Which I will take every playthrough from now on, now that I know you can't use disinfectant to decrease zombie transformation chance.

Once you play awhile and get used to how the zeds move it becomes alot easier to not get bit or scratched. Main thing is to not attempt to take on large groups at lower skill and know your characters limits.

Zed scratched my arm, i disenfected it, inserted bandage with alcohol, and i was changing it all time - after a while, there was no scratch anymore, any my health status is all time "OK". only sometimes i got dmg if i take too much ( repairing car needs a looot of items xD ) and that's it. idk if i change to zombie cuz it was maybe 4-5 days after a scratch - only 1 thing i have seen is that my hero want more sleep and faster getting tired ( maybe its because i;m taking a lot of heavy items to repair cars?

can you tell me, if zombie scratch me ( blood is rising) and after a day there is no scratch and for 5 days my health status is ok - im infected? ;-; ?
