Destroying stairs

I've taken the Warehouse in the east of Muldragh and destroyed the stairs from the bottom first.

I've read the wiki and it says destroying the stairs from the bottom first may allow zombies to glitch up them as you won't be able to destroy certain top parts of the stairs.

I'm in build 34, is that still the case?

In build 35, destroying any part of the stairs will destroy the entire thing. I don't know if that was in build 34, probably not.

I've never seen that happen before, but eh. I'd say it's been fixed. Just make sure to fence the gap in case you fall!

Have a sledge hammer in your inventory, go to the stairs, right click near them and click "destroy" - then make sure the stairs/ground under the stairs are highlighted and left click

Yes you can only destroy walls/barriers with a sledge. The large warehouses are a good place to search, as well as anywhere with crates or construction materials.

you can also get a screwdriver and a saw and dismantle the stairs and get some planks and nails back.

That's curious. I have two points in carpentry but only get the build menu on right click with tools in the inventory (including a hammer along with the saw and screwdriver all out of bags in the main window). What's your level of carpentry skill?

You can only dismantle player-made items. NOT default stairs and such.
But, here's a fun tip.

>Build a Bed
>Dismantle Bed
>Get 2 Mattresses back
>Infinite Beds
