200 multiplier is a bit overkill.

its probably possible, the only issue is that the sounds I can find are basically zipped into their own archive, called .bank which would require a program to extract and replace the particular sound, its totally possible most likely to create a replacement sound as a mod. just have to find what that particular sound is called.

200 multiplier is a bit my playstyle and how I just wanna have some fun this game instead of having to spend 30 rl hours to level my carpentry and aiming up.
If they allow me to put such numbers up its my constitutional right to do so, good day sir
I know about the bank files, it used to just be a folder filled with readily available n replacable .ogg's and it's beyond me why they chose to go the encryption n compression route with something that basically sets the whole mood to the game and should be rather easily moddable :( although props to that zach dude the music sucked before and after he overhauled it with his newly learned skills most of them sound like moody AAA tracks and im really enjoying all the droning and the removal of arabic voices that were in pretty much every single one of his tracks.
still tho there should atleast be a file ready to unpack those .bank's and be able to replace and enjoy

well the fmod studio is free to download if thats any help, no worries about the multiplier if you wanna have the progression that quick that is entirely upto you but, ofc the game isn't really balanced for that so the sound is playing way more often than it normally would.

This is something that has been brought up a lot and I think it's mostly because the sound effect for leveling up is very immersion breaking. It doesn't fit the setting and I think it puts a lot of people off (especially if they're American, like the setting of the game is). I personally don't play with the music on in any game but I think this is where the influence comes from.

Ultimately I don't find it fitting myself but to each their own I guess. I just hope they make the sound effect fit Kentucky and the setting a bit better.
Like said above, you can manually exchange or remove the files, but to be honest with a multiplier of 200 i would more care about my play style.

But its your game not my point to discuss it.

Am I the only one who likes this sound?

To me it tells me that what I am fighting is some sort of ancient, unnatural evil.

Some sort of demonic force. That the angle of death hershelf is fighting me.

Kinda like how Zombies were originally created by black magic, witchcraft, and voodoo,
necromancy,

Wikipedia says
he Oxford English Dictionary gives the origin of the word as West African, and compares it to the Kongo words "nzambi" (god) and "zumbi" (fetish).

I dont know maybe its just my own head cannon, but I like the chanting.

Also I do not belive that its Arabic she is using, but some African Langage.

Exactly. It makes me feel like im in dubai or something, especially cause I once had some dude watch that one movie called Ali Baba or Aladin something like that and it had that exact level up chanting every now and then during the movie so whenever im immersing myself in running from a horde thru southern states suburbs and hear that chant I feel like some kinda magic genie or flying carpet is going to appear any second now.
Plus it's way too long, it feels like a whopping 20 seconds when it should be tops 5.
It could have just been some kinda crescendo or however you call it, like what you get from panic when seeing a sudden zombie jumpscare, or just like a quick western sounding guitar string pull. Something like that, would in fact immerse me even more into the setting.
I have nothing against arabic countries and religion or anything but hearing that is kinda outerworldly to me when im really immersing myself into this games setting, its almost on the same level as seeing an ufo appear over me or something like that. I dunno, probs sounds dumb but if you try reading thru the lines hard enough youll probably see what I mean in a more understandable matter.
A sound like this would be PERFECT:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvFGlf4FCzg 0:10
It's a 3 second western sounding guitar thing that fits to the geographical and lore setting and has a threatening yet uplifting mood to it which goes well together to being doomed in a zombie apocalypse but having just learned something new that will aid your survival and keep you kicking for atleast one more day, as mentioned its very short and it doesnt distract too much.
Alternatively they could just provide an option to have a lil level up text / moodle appear and remove the sound itself from the game.

Then why even mention it in the first place?
Besides trying to make someone feel bad because she doesn't want to invest hours into her game like you do to build a small shack and just shoot a bunch of zombies down?
Why the ♥♥♥♥ are people mentioning that my playstyle is wrong, it's how I wanna play this game after having spent hours on multiplayer servers grinding barricaded windows to be able to create a small crate I'd just like to settle down on my own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ singleplayer game where I literally hurt no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ body except for scripted zombie NPC's to build myself a small nice looking forest cabin and enjoy killing off a bunch of zombies in a Walking Dead / Evil Dead style.
If I wanna learn how to hit a zombie whos mouth is practically wrapped around my pistol instead of missing the shot 7 times within 3 shots instead of 300 it's all 100% my business, not yours.
Piss off now.

Gilga, don't start fights, people can play how they want and it's not your business to judge. Suh duuude I'm Zoe, don't tell people to piss off, that'll achieve nothing but turn this thread in to a hot mess.

Everyone is getting just a little bit too hot headed for my liking. I expect people to be lovely to one another from this point on or I'll have no choice but to blow the dust off my trusty old ban hammer.

Back on topic : I'd imagine the sound will stay as it's been there since the beginning, but I don't know for sure - happily as the game's been designed to be easily moddable, you should just be able to remove or replace the files to sounds as you see fit :)

well then i apologize for tellin you to ♥♥♥♥ off but this game gives us an amazing sandbox mode with an even more amazing amount of options on customizing it to play off exactly how we want it to and you can decide to play it hyper realistically or in a more shooter-esque l4d2 style or even like pratically remove zombies all together to try living off the land and thats amazing and chosing to play it in a different way from the original realistic one or whatever you may prefer doesnt make you a lesser human being and playing on a tough hardcore survival superhuman sprinters sandbox save doesnt give you the right to look down on others who prefer an, for example, easy going or high octane action or peaceful experience and condemn / 'worry' about them

This is the kind of sound that I think would work best (and not sound too gamey or be immersion breaking) and I really hope they decide to change the sound down the line to something similar :)

Just my opinion of course but +1 :)

Agreed. It just sounds weird considering the setting of the game.

Question has been answered, OP went loco in another thread and earned a ban. I'd say we're done here.
