I keep waking up at 2:20am
I keep waking up at 2:20am with no alarm, no matter what time I go to sleep. I even tried going to sleep at 11:30 pm and wake up at 2:20am. First problem, it is still dark. Second problem, I get extremely tired by the time noon comes around.

I tried restarting game and rebooting.

Is there an alarm going off somewhere else in the house? Like a drawer with an alarm clock in it or something? Does it happen with other characters?

That's super weird. I've realized with time that if you go to bed with too much HP lost you'll wake up from a "bad dream" stressed out but that wouldn't explain your case.

You aren't managing your sleep right. I do this quite a lot, particularly early on in a play. At a guess when you hit the extremely tired emoji at 12:30pm you're sleeping? Don't. get to a safe space and force yourself to stay awake until about 8:30pm. reading is a good use for this time. sleep at 8:30 and you'll probably wake at a normal time. Alternatively, if you've got stuff to do and can't really spare a day to sort your sleep pattern out, find sleeping pills and take them about 30 minutes before you want to rest.

Vitamins or coffee will also remove some tiredness, between those, sleeping pills/booze (not together!) and using the alarm you can modify your sleep schedule pretty easily to get back on track.

If you loot watches from zombies the alarms can go off, but not necessarily the one you're wearing. You might have a bunch of them in your inventory or in a wardrobe or something.

Pro Tip. Throwing all the items that can have alarms into your main inventory allows you to turn them all off with one button press.

You can turn on/off alarms via clicking on the Bell located on the Time Display. This will control all alarms in your main inventory. This doesn't work if the watch is in your bag for example

yeah i noticed some interesting behaviour with watches that i am not sure whether comes under being a bug or a feature - e.g. it shows the time just by having a watch in your main inventory - it uses the best one, but then if you drop the digital it will switch back to just showing time - but if you have both in your inventory (and so it is using the digital), if you then wear the classic it will also switch to just showing the time

certainly i like the idea of being able to cancel all alarms in one click - but you may as well dismantle every watch you find, or just leave them, since you only ever need one

and i'm not sure how i feel about it showing the time if it's in your inventory - but i think i like it, since it's basically in a pocket and certainly easy to get to

so yeah - whether bugs or features - doesn't really need changing :-)
Drizzt Jul 24, 2022 @ 11:32am
also - i hope this person confirms that it was an alarm - since otherwise nobody has of yet cast much light on why they are waking at exactly the same time very night - if seems somewhat unlikely that they are somehow going to sleep every time with the exact amount of drowsiness to make them wake up at that same exact time each time

however, maybe they will report how they got on with trying to mix up their sleep pattern if it somehow isn't an alarm and it really is something to do having with an amazingly precise routine lol :-)

I could not hear an alarm going off any time waking up. Can an alarm wake me up if near by but close enough to be heard?

If it's not the watches then we could all set our watches by this guy.

I started a new game and deleted old game. I have no problems now. I guess I could have tried sleeping somewhere else to see if there was an unheard alarm going off.

i think you typo'd and meant close enough to not be heard

and i think you should always hear it - but maybe something else is drowning it out - but if you always sleep in the same place, then it could be in a drawer somewhere far enough that as a player you don't hear it, but your character does

had same issue one time it was 100% an alarm you didnt hear ingame but triggered your waking up.
for me it was an normal alarm clock in neighbours house second floor bedroom.
normal watches i collect all til i dismantle them later (after i found/read electric book1)
