That'd be pretty fun, right?
He is a half infected tramp sometimes he is in the mood to harass you other times he searches buildings opening doors and windows and ransacking supply. Sometimes on approach he will speak to the player other times he lunge and try to attack. If he finds of the player sleeping or living locations he may come at any time and open the door if it’s not locked.
He walks among the zombies.
Together with them. They ignore him.
If you don’t give him what he wants he attacks you or shouts. You can kill him but he infinitely resurrect.
He is highly charged with electricity his arms can strike a short bolt of lightning stunning the player outside of normal grab range. He is noticeable from his spikey hair and smokey look and unique walk. Short or metallic weapons may apply stun to the player on impact. Longer blunts or spears are preferred.
Zombie chimp is fast and can climb !
A few zombified chimps escaped from the zoo. There is always a chimp at the zoo but the 4 others can be found anywhere on the map. Primarily in wilderness regions, due to its instinct. Zombie chimp will prefer to climb up to the second story window if he sees you. On ground he is fast. And very strong on grab. His bite is quick also. He smashes windows in hit in one dramatic jump animation. If he is in melee range he will likely win. He can only be killed reliably with a gun, stun stick. Or tranquilliser.
Hoggle is a small hunched over zombie that does not attack the player. He is always found in a small enclosed bathroom, with various empty tin cans and other broken items. Hoggle is startled by the player and will push and shove before running away, the player will not be able to pursue hoggle once he has been pushed over. Hoggle can be killed. But Hoggles dens improve loot chances each time he is discovered in one.
Evidence of hoggle living in an area may be a chopped tree. Or closed curtains. He is indeed a type of deformed zombie but he is never aggressive to the player
Can open doors.
The ones I've tried are "a Advanced zombie mod, CDDA zombies and personalised zombies." Out of the three, the personalised zombies mod has felt the most vanilla-like. I think the one you mention is called Soul Filcher's Turning Time which I haven't tried yet but looks interesting.
Hoggle is a good one there. Infected tramp may be abit too far. Hoggle there could set the standard for what to expect from an npc. He disappears off camera. I thought maybe when he runs away that zombies that player had attracted could then follow him away until he gets out of range. I thought hoggle sightings wouldn’t start happening until around 4-6 months into the game. So that it really pushes something to investigate.
I thought giving him a shamed persona like he is ashamed to be a zombie while also having a jog movement speed. He just push past the player and try to run off screen. Draws zombies with him in the direction of his escape. Chasing is futile. You could shoot him but then it ends the hoggle story development.
The zombie chimp shouldn’t be overlooked as it’s not something that can just come and find you. You’d activate the story by visiting the zoo. Now when you are in deep wilderness there is a chance a zombie chimp will come for you. It encourage the player to go on boss hunting trips. Zombie chimp obviously has no loot on him. But you can decapitate it for a mantle piece.
