This is one of the anticheats from what i've heard, if you're the server owner you've gotta turn off uh anticheat 21 in the servertest.ini for it to stop returning this error. You're looking for a line that is similar or exactly "AntiCheatProtectionType21=true" Replace true with false and you should be good.

Now there is a chance I am completely wrong and if I am someone please correct me

Same issue connecting to a server , but only on my SteamDeck and can connect to the same server on my desktop. However, Create a new server with the same mods I can connect fine deck and desktop

I was also wondering if i should get a new game going since they mentioned changes to louisville or whatever. Maybe some buildings are different now...

whats weird is, i see people on my server, some seem to be able to join, some others dont.

Yerp only me on my steam deck that cannot connect, others all ok :( but, I can connect on my PC and I can connect on my deck to a new server with the exact same settings :S Will look at disabling anti cheat as its a priv server anyway

reinstalling and stuff does not work i am trying to reinstall server files il let you know the results

It's likely cause its set to be too sensitive right now so its flagging the wrong things as cheats and alike

for anyone else stumbling on this, you can't fix this if it's not your own server. either you have to be the server owner and change anticheatrule21 to false, or contact the server owner and request they do so. anticheat in zomboid works fine in vanilla, but it's very finnicky with mods.

If you havent found it yet, its in C:\Users\YourUsername\Zomboid\Server . it's the server's configuration settings, you can open and edit it with notepad
