Two broken bones and slow healer = FML.
Sorry, but I have to vent!

Does anyone know how long it takes for a broken bone to heal with the slow healer trait?
I broke my left thigh around 2 months ago and its still fractured. To top it off: 2 weeks later I fell through a non-existing roof and broke my right shinbone. You wont believe how unbelievably slow my character is right now and yet i dont want to kill him.

Has anyone endured this nightmare and can tell me for how long I have to wait until I stop being a snail? It is eating away at my sanity. I cant deal with this pain and the regrets I have for picking slow healer. FML!

- I tried to stay well fed at all times
- I applied comfrey poultice whenever i had enough comfrey

Nope. When I used slow healer it never did seem to heal for me, so I grabbed my bat and just went zombie whacking until he was dead and then I never used slow healer again. I think it's a little harsher than it should be.
Ca 3-4 weeks, if you have the herbalist trait then you can try speed this up buy foraging herbs.

Anyway i suggest you eat many food and sleep often, this will also help to speed up the healing.
i never take slow healer , im way too scared of breaking my bones and ruining my whole game

So, just for the record. Approx 2h after posting this rant my broken thigh fracture is gone. It took around >7< (seven!) weeks to heal. Not ever picking this shi t trait again. And keep in mind, i was trying to stay well fed for the most of it, applying stupid comfrey whenever I had it.

The right shinbone is still broken though. I really wonder if the 2nd drop (the one that broke my shinbone) also had some negative effect to the already broken thigh. I assume so, cause otherwise 7 weeks of recovery time are way too crazy for a trait that grants 6 points.

well, in real life, it would be way worse i assume.

If you play Sandbox//MP mode, then just add the sleep capabaility and sleep it off. I don't see why in any real zombie invasion you shouldn't be able to sleep whenever the ♥♥♥♥ you feel like it, especially after eating a nice, hot warm meal. I mean sometimes it is smarter to sleep off an injury than risk playing while injured. Be Smart. Make your own justifications for what's plausible and what's not.

Ya, it happened in MP. Managed to sleep for roughly 1 week and now both fractures are gone. If I do lose this character, the next one will be fast healer, I can tell you that much ;D

From a guess you are right here. In my last mp games i also broke several times my legs, 3 times in 4 months in a row (yeah and i still played), so since i also took the slow healer trait, i can only say that it never took more then 4 weeks to heal the complete fracture.

In the end it doesnt really matters if you sleep often or not, it was almost in every situation the same time, unless i used some herbs ( a mate was so friendly to help me), and then the fracture was gone after 18 days.
