Dog whistles

Has anyone got a hint for me where to find dogwhistles in Westpoint? I found 2 (no luck, no dog to look for lost animals or hunting) so far, both in a kind of outdoor/survival shop in the western city center, opposite of a fuel station. Also made it to the huge warehouse to the south east from the center, found a lot of useful stuff there (e.g.all computer parts) but no dogwhistle. Any ideas?

I usually find them in garages, crates, warehouses, etc. If your msc. loot setting is anthing but "abundant", they're pretty scarce...I don't believe dog whistles are consumed when tracking a dog though, are they? If not, you don't need more than two...(and if so, that should really be fixed!)

Hi Badfrog! Thx for your hint. Unfortunately the dog whistles are consumed when you search for dogs - yeah, that should really be fixed. Those whistles are pretty rare although my loot settings are good and i usually find plenty of stuff.
I´m not sure if i remember correctly but i think i saw a video on youtube where it was said that you get the whistle back when you feed your dog. Tried it, but all i got was poo :)

Find a metal detector and several medium batteries, that should allow you to search for metal anywhere. Using this method and maybe two or three batteries (an hour or so of time) I was able to secure a couple of dog whistles. Other than that, crates and shelves are your best bet.

Wow, that's sth. new for me! I´ll try asap., thx for your answer!
Already did a lot of mining in my upgraded mine (desperately looking for Limestones -> make leather -> craft Blacksmith Apron -> craft fireproof suit) thus all my large batteries are dead. But there´s plenty of them.
Really looking forward to use the metal detector!

Quick update. I find not right that dog whistle disappears. It is too hard to find. Go to the MOD folder and change the attribute of the receipt search for stray dogs. change the attribute from HCDogWhistle to keep HC Dogwhistle. Or whatever that is. Testing it now...
