Strange noises

During my play today I was outside and heard laughing and then several gun shots.
I was in SP, has this happened to anyone else?

I have not heard 'laughing', its usually screaming. And gunshots, dogs barking, perhaps some other stuff I forgot.

Its used to move zombies around. Meta events, I think they are called.

yes i have heard the gunshots too. could just be some sounds that they added to think that there are other survivors in the world but really it's just you. In the single player at least.

As I stated before, the sounds are meta events designed to move zombies around. They migrate to the sounds origin on the map.
