How to cleanup a ton of bodies?
Lets say hypothetically, I may have cleared the fire station. Lets say hypothetically I killed every last zombie in there. Now lets say that It's now a major health hazard with the bodies. What can I quickly do with them without getting half of the town chasing me? :bleach:

Pile them all onto a campfire outside in the parking lot, loot whatever good stuff is on their bodies. Rip the clothes for tailoring. Then start the fire

Any way you slice it, body cleanup is not done 'quickly' unless you torch the building itself, lol.

As long as the bedroom doesn't have any dead zombies, I think it's fine to sleep in.

I got into the habit of whenever I go to clear a structure, I choose a spot outside, preferably on the road, sand, or gravel to prevent fire spreading, then lure the zeds out in small groups, and kill them on or near the same place. Once the building is clear, tidy up the few outliers, which only takes a few minutes, go through their pockets for any loose change, then burn em all in one fell swoop.

when clearing a building I prefer to lure the zombies outside and kill them there. Its a bit safer than fighting in an enclosed space. It also means there is a lot less gunk on the floor and walls of the new home to worry about cleaning. If there are any dead left inside, well, the only real option is to carry them outside. Or just put them all into a room you're not planning on using, shut the door and pretend they aren't there.

Get npc to do the pile copses task.

I feel like the npc mod breaks the game personally, but bikini tools just automates the most tedious aspects so I recommend that. Use it to stack all the zombies in an area on the campfire and you're gold, I've used it myself quite a lot in the past. And as has been pointed out, corpse sickness is actually pretty simple to deal with by just walking away.

Don't make the mess in the first place.

Would recommend a mop too.

Get a Spiffo's trash can (the orange one). Weights 10, 50 capacity. Clean bodies with "delete all", and then move it to the next location.

You know, I was wondering about that... Regular trash cans didn't do the trick, for whatever reason, but I'll see if I can grab a spiffo variety. Thanks for the suggestion.

Back when the sandbox setting to remove corpse wasnt available. I used campfire.

Carried every corpse onto the same tile as the campfire, hit the hotkey to equip my weapon, it will let my character drop the body, and then off to the next. Once i piled up enough, i just pick a clothes item from the zombies and light up the fire, the fire only needs to burn for like 10 seconds and all of them will turn into one chunk of ash pile. The ash pile is on top of the campfire, which looks weird, if you dont like it, you can either remove it with a shovel, but you will have to do it everytime you burn corpses. Or, you leave the ash pile alone, pick up the campfire and put it down again on the same spot, the ash pile now will appear under the campfire, and future burning will also keep it that way.

But now, i just the corpses to be removed automatically after mayb 8 or 12 hours. Enough time to loot them, and they dont stay too long to cause any performance issue.
