no, you want to read books BEFORE getting EXP.

You didn't get it. I'm talking about how the fact that I've read , for example, a 1 lvl of building book , effects of how much XP and lvls I get from watching a programme on TV.
Or it's the same despite of whether i've read it or not ?

Books increase all XP gain, including TV and VHS.

not entirely correct from what i know. from every book, at least as much as i noticed you get a linear percentage more EXP. if you full read the book you have the full bonus but when you have read like 50 pages you have approximately 25% more exp from the base value

For a detailed explanation, every level of book has a number of pages. Higher levels have more pages and higher multipliers. Every 10% of the book read gives 10% of the books total multiplier. So for level 1-2, the books total multiplier is 3 when fully read. Reading 50% of the book (110 pages) gives you a 1.5 multiplier.

Edit: Not sure if this is accurate across all settings but I use 2 hour days in sandbox and 30 pages takes an hour to read without changing the reading speed.

Another edit: And to be clear, it's stepped. reading 10 pages will not give any benefit, neither will 20. At 22 (for the book mentioned) you get your 10% of total multiplier. Then at 44 pages you get 20%.
