I tried connecting another generator at base level for testing purposes but they refuse to turn on lol, I do not think these are tied to any switch from the inside right?
They shouldn't be. Check the bulbs. They can burn out. That's probably not what happened but it's easy to check with a right click. Outside of that try uninstalling and reinstalling the lights. They may not recognize that they are connected to the new generator. If you tested it by putting the genny on the first floor and they didn't work those are the only two things I can think of.
campfires outdoors is a terrible idea.
