I figured it was probably abandoned as part of a military pullout/mobilization, but it could just be unfinished too.
Ah, I didn’t know this was a well known thing. My buddy and I are relatively new. We just saw military base and assumed there would be military loot there. All the videos I’ve seen seemed to suggest there was some good loot here.
It's more of a Challenge area kinda like the Prison. Best loot you'll get is all the Military Outfits from the Zombies.
The idea that it was a non-military outpost occupied by the military after the outbreak doesn't really fit. Mostly, I can't see the military hanging flags as decorations in a building they were only occupying temporarily, nor can I see any non-governmental organization hanging them inside at all. The 3 satellite communication dishes also tell me this was in no way a local operation. There are also no nearby temporary barracks like there are at the Army Checkpoint, so if they were occupying they must have been living in the underground portion, such living quarters further suggesting the outpost was military from the start.
