I can't uncheck the "show your username" box in the settings?

Each time I click on the check box it stays checked, however it then lets me click apply as if it changed something but nothing has changed if I do hit apply... Please help...

I am confused? I tried doing it it in my settings while in the server, then closed the server and tried it at the main menu if that is what you mean?

I mean manually editing the files found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid\Server
You can change any settings manually there, this is generally how Dedicated servers set up their settings before launching.

This setting exists in the main menu independent of servers. It does not work. This option should hide the player's OWN username over their head, but as OP said the checkbox simply doesn't do anything. The option is broken, and it is not a server option.

Go C:\Users\yourusernamehere\Zomboid, open options.ini, find showYourUsername, and change true to false -> showYourUsername=false
