by exercising and you need to do it everyday. u can boost it too by lifting overweight items.

if u using more trait, u can take pack mule. if you feel exercise prosess is too long, u can just doing a negative positif trait for gaining 10 strengh.

Certain exercises and being heavily overloaded. You'll also need protein to boost gains

Also, get a bag or a backpack of sorts and store your items there. Bags and backpacks reduce the weight of whatever is in them when you wear them

i always comboing my negative trait with most additional points. u can take underweight (even if the effect seemsly annoying) but u can erase the trait by eating high calories food until your weight on 80kg.

if you a real one, you will exercise like 6 times a day to really grind. you dont get penalized any more than you would for 1 exercise

Restart the game, but pick Strong+ trait and compensate with something easy neglectable negative, like high thurst+weak stomach. Or train in-game, but it will take years of time.

Lame, spend 2000 hours grinding to level 10 strength

So how strength levels up is different - it uses a key variable.
"Regularity"

What Regularity means is you have to constantly do a certain amount of "Exercise" each day. When you do the exercise you will see the "Regularity" bar slowly fill up.

The Optimum amount of time is 30 - 60 minutes per day and take a break when you start noticing damage

there's a mod you can get that adds fitness and strength skill books to the game to max up your xp while excising

Attacking also gives strength XP. I usually end up reaching level 6 after a couple months in on Apocalypse without any actual "exercise," just from pushing/stomping zombies and carrying large items around (usually log bundles).

I'm currently 5 1/2 months in and about 2/3rds of the way to level 7 without doing any strength exercise. It's Fitness that I usually struggle with leveling: started at 3 due to Obese and i'm only 1/3rd of the way to 5, even with the occasional set of sit-ups.

The jump from strength 5 to 6 is enormous. 14 inventory is a lot larger than 12 inventory. That 's the point at which I can reasonably carry around an (Organized) Large Backpack and Large Hiking Bag for short distances.

I assume, it depends on how you play the game. I usually pick the Strength+ trait, so I can right on clean the zeds with crowbar, leadpipe and similar stuff. At same time I am either underweight, overweight or even obese. Cause I am running, carrying and hitting a lot, usually I get Fitness back to 5 without excercising, when I get some decent base set up. With my playstyle without Strength, I would just get more risks and require more weapons.. People who setup farther away from the cities, engage less often or can stray the crowd instead or use guns - probably don't require the strength at 9 at all.
It doesn't look like it's mentioned here but having a protein rich diet gives you a multiplier. I think you can get it up to 150% xp boost

Regularity has nothing to do with how fast you gain Strength or Fitness. This is a common misconception easily proven false by simply looking at the strength/fitness XP after doing excercises. What Regularity does is reduce the amount of Exercise Fatigue gained, effectively increasing the amount of exercises you can do before Pain stops you.

In any case, given how absolutely ridiculous the time requirement is to reach 9 in strength and fitness, combined with how obscenely powerful both of those passives are (and the automatic Strong/Athletic traits to go with them), it's HIGHLY recommended to start any character with at least 9 in both.

Strength xp boost has been in the game for half a decade

"You gain strength exp points faster if you have a good proteins balance."
