Adaptive Traits
My character gained hemophobic mid play. Does anyone know why this happened so I can prevent it in the future? So annoying...

Being covered in blood all the time, I think.

Wash yourself and your clothing. I "roleplay" coming into my base and decontaminating everything I'm wearing.

Being covered in blood is also a huge hit on happiness too, leading to possible depression.

I don't think the mod Dynamic Traits can give hemophobic ? Are you sure you just didn't grab it during character creation by mistake ? I've been looking through the Dynami Trait mod discussions and couldn't find anything about Hemophobic, sadly.

I guess it just needs to be balanced since I already wash all the time, even doing loads of laundry when i can because i dont like to be dirty or covered in blood D:

I don't use that mod, and I didn't pick it because I don't like it :(

Well then I think you just grabbed hemophobic by mistake and didn't see it until if caused problems to you, because you cannot gain the Hemophobic trait over time, afaik.

Oh? Perhaps i misclicked D: Didnt notice it til my latest scratch :/
hi Oct 4, 2022 @ 12:16am
hemophobic is free points bro

Yeah I'm not aware of any mod that causes you to gain hemophobic, and vanilla gameplay definitely doesn't do it. As for the free points, I tried playing with it when I started and it very rapidly became a pain. I was either continuously freaked out or continuously washing myself, and neither of those things were fun. Currently I'm playing with agoraphobic and at least that is supposed to fade after time.

hemophobic only procs when you are bleeding, in no other scenario.
agoraphobic is infinetly more worse than hemophobic, atleast get claustrophobic

so then just pick smoker and all the negative effects are negated
hemophobic is free points and it should absolutely always be picked.

LOL thanks guys XD btw does anyone know if handy makes crafted spears stronger too or?

Pretty sure you can't get negative traits yet, except of course the ones who depend on weigth and fitness/strength.

Handy gives +100HP to all woodcraft constructions. It does give +1 maintenance, so weapons should last more, but it's not a exclusive thing of the trait, just a extra point to a skill that already does that.
