padding
to me it seems like the ability to add padding to clothes is kinda secret. who thinks to inspect a piece of clothing when you can already see its condition in the inventory. further more who thinks to right click the info in the inspect tab and then find you can add padding? but thats besides my point

What if you could add padding to cars? metal sheets and what not. Make them a little more durable

Mad Max up my cars. A double padded bonnet would be pretty nice to have, especially combined with a super bulbar made out of barbed wire and metal bars.

Running over zombies all day with no fear to my engine sounds like a good trade off for potentially making the car heavier and less fuel efficient anyway.

Bulletproof windows with tiny slits in them for shooting out of without a risk of being gnawed upon until the zombies rip off the window would be cool too.

Would certainly make Mechanics (and Metalworking) more appealing to bother levelling up beyond the necessary hotwiring requirement anyway.

it is rather odd that the game doesn't explain tailoring at all. it'd be great to at least have a page on the tutorial about it

thats true but at the end its a thing of finding things out as well. you cant explain every single little detail afterall. the game doesnt tell you either that the engineer gives you additional bombs that can only be build with this specific job. at least i didnt saw it yet.

or that spears have as crit a true oneshot no matter how much HP the zombie has

Admittedly, the tutorial is a bit dated, but it is worth remembering that PZ is still in active development. I could see it being updated later once they have features finalized.

On the vehicles: The original design included some mad max style additions to vehicles. It might still be on the to-do list but stuff got pushed back to get multiplayer working again after the update, which is still a work in progress. (Turbo also was apparently not doing well health wise, but seems to be better now, so that was one team member out for months; thankfully he seems to be on the mend.)

One thing you can do to help is compile a list of things you didn't know and publish a guide for it, it'd help a lot of people like yourself. It's a lot easier to assemble a list if you are new and learning, than for a vet to remember what a new player wouldn't know.

I think you should be able to use duct tape to repair and pad clothes, People do it all the time IRL.

These a good suggestions. I like them :)

I dont think i will get around to it, but if i do i would like to make a mod that makes a new car part type "Reinforced" maybe it will have the stats that Value car parts have, except it will be much stronger. Then you can install reinforced windows, tires, doors, hoods maybe, and be able to ram more zombies? but visually the car would look the same unless there was a way to make changes without having to make new models for each car and each modded car
