i would'nt mind a solution but the response i received was a bit blunt, "turn it off" seemed a bit like, if you dont like it deal with it.
the post is entirely about the fire, i came to terms with the zombie difficulty as it seemed like a reasonable reality difficulty, and ive adapted, but putting hours into a game just to die from standing a smidge too close to a fire seems a bit annoying, which seems like a common issue within the posts of the hub. there should be a bit of a warning that youre about to burst into flames. i am fine if you are saying youre working on this but your original response gave off a vibe like you just dont care...
My guy, take a minute to check when the original fire code was put in place and where the game is now. Not only are there more devs, the game itself is significantly different.
It's not ideal. For what it was when it was implemented, it was fantastic. There is planned rework but it will take time.
In this particular case, yes, this is how you died. You do have the ability to backup saves if you're really worried about losing characters because of dumb reasons instead of "legitimate" reasons.
As for burning near campfire, are you sure you were burned by standing near it adn not on it? You could have accidentally entered the campfire tile.
