Guns for each aiming level?
Hello everyone, do any of you have some sort of table that separates guns by aiming level required to efficiently shoot?

Ride a double barrel until level 4 then you can pretty much take your pick as long as it’s not a full auto.

Double barrel until 4 at this point it’s a good idea to wean off shotgun as a primary use and carry. 1. because shells are more important to save for big missions. Like large area clearance. Or police station raid. Or maybe just fire station going in for the axe supply. And you have no margin for returning empty handed. This is when you need shells. But before you need them like this you’ll need them until level 4.

But honestly there isn’t much game to it.

Ride the shotgun until 4 or more. And you can then practice using other weapons. See it’s not as if other weapons have a particular way to play its that if you are storing all ammo you find like a good hamster then you need to manage about how you use it all. And largely it comes down to preference
Great way to level aiming early is get a shotgun, mod it into a sawed off shotgun. Get a ton of extra shells (70 -90 should do) and some beta blockers then head to a decent pop zone (within reason) you want cleared out and find a nice wide open spot to herd zeds and blast 'em. Pop a beta blocker to keep your aim steady and just stay ahead of the hoard.

Doing this for the first time I got to level 3 aiming and level 1 reload. As for pistols, don't try them till maybe level 7 aiming. Shotgun will take down one or two zeds each round. Pistols will hit one zed, but won't be a headshot, thus feels like a wasted bullet. Pistol will one shot if you've knocked one down and are standing on top of them but seems like you might as well stomp 'em rather than waste a bullet.

A tip for when you are getting to level 4, there is a temptation to go for a 6 shooter but as level 4 is still a relative noob at shooting you’re always going to want higher capacity than a 5 or 6 shooter revolver. So .45 standard issue police weapon I actually prefer this. Though a lot of people value them .38 special 5 rounds per reload. But as a noob who is looking to main the firearm and use it as much as possible maybe you are hemaphobic, then always carry something with higher capacity than a revolver. Because you eventually nail a full mag unload and kill every shot and you realise how good pistol is

Ammo I personally don’t know when or how to use are .44 D eagle and Magnum, .38 special. I use to know how to use .38 special but now I use .45 instead as the multiple magazines achieve what I am going for quicker and more safely than a revolver does. Though i think I am paying for it with noise . But since I often main the fire arm I am not concerned too much about noise.

Levels 0-2: Sawed off JS-2000. Why: 100% accuracy starting at level 0.
Levels 2-5: Double Barrel. Why: Accuracy is extremely high and so is Crit Chance, like around 90% or so.
Level 5+: I still recommend Double Barrel for leveling, but more weapons become usable at this point. The powerful non-Shotguns, like M16 and Deagle, I'd wait till at least Level 8.

The biggest determining factor for what weapon becomes viable is Accuracy. Until you get a high enough Accuracy, you're just throwing away ammo and drawing in hordes that you will end up dealing with using either a Melee weapon or a Shotgun.

Go here, sort by Accuracy, and you'll get a good idea of which weapons become viable based on their accuracy.

edit: alternatively, download this mod that shows weapon stats so you can see in-game if a gun is worth using at your current level. Check the Accuracy and Crit Chance.

I just did this, managed to get to aiming 2 and reloading 2, but ran out of ammo XD

I really want to try my hand at pistols / revolvers at a more specialized level, currently i did the shotgun thing but my ammo went out really fast, so i got to aiming 2 and stated trying the .45, i can actually use it, to a degree, the zombie needs to be very close for a head shot tho
